1. Who we are
Complex is a marketplace where verified students at participating universities buy, sell and rent items from one another. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Complex; "you" means the person using the app.
2. Who can use Complex
You must be a current student at a participating university and able to verify that with a valid student email address. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. One account per person.
3. Your account
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@unicomplex.app if you think someone else has access to it.
4. Buying, selling and renting
Complex is a venue. The contract of sale or hire is between the buyer and the seller — we are not a party to it, and we do not own, inspect or warrant any item listed.
Payments are held in escrow. Money is released to the seller when the buyer confirms receipt using the hand-off code, or when the escrow window expires without a dispute. Rentals release when the item is confirmed returned.
Sellers must describe items honestly, own what they list, and have the right to sell or rent it. Buyers must pay for what they agree to buy and return rented items in the agreed condition, on time.
5. Things you may not list or do
No weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, prescription medicines, counterfeits, stolen goods, live animals, adult material, academic dishonesty services (including writing someone's coursework), or anything illegal under Nigerian law or your university's rules.
You may not harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, spam or abuse anyone. You may not scrape the service, attempt to break its security, or use it to launder money.
6. Content and conduct — zero tolerance
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour.
If you see something that breaks these terms, use the Report action on the listing or on the person. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We may remove listings, suspend or permanently remove accounts, and withhold funds connected to fraud, at our discretion.
You can also block any user. Blocking hides their listings from you, hides yours from them, and stops either of you messaging the other.
7. Fees
Using Complex is currently free for students. If we introduce fees, we will tell you before they apply to you.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent. We will not let you delete while an order is still in progress or money is still in your wallet — settle or withdraw first, so nobody is left out of pocket.
9. Our liability
Complex is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, that a trade will complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from trades between users.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
